SAC Rate - CCR

Post by jordilopez »

Hello,

For most of the CCR dives logged, I have a 0 SAC rate (that's fine). But for a few of them I'm getting a crazy value there, not sure why this is happening. Attached an image for reference.

Would it be possible to exclude the SAC calculation for CCR dives?

thanks

Looks like this is caused by the Aluminum tank, which used 20 bar, probably in a very short time.

That is a bailout tank added manually, there's no transmitter data (the other 2 tanks have transmitter data).

I realized that there is a short period of bailout in that dive (is just a very thin line in the profile). Is the SAC rate calculated based on that? If is the case, may be the reason.

Yes, this is the reason. You can fix that by either setting the consumption to 0 bar for this tank or by removing the tiny section in the profile editor, by editing the "TankID" column in this area.

Thanks, all clear now.

Would it be possible to exclude the CCR dives from the SAC stadistics?

thanks

CCR dives without bailout usage do not show up in SAC statistics. But if there was a bailout part, it will calculate the SAC rate just for this part, which makes sense as it is an OC dive at this point. So not sure if it makes sense to not calculate the SAC rate for the bailout section of a CCR dive.

If you declare the tank as CCR tank, it won't calculate SAC for this tank either (or if the consumption for this tank is zero).
