Missing surface intervals?

Post by fhilthy »

For some reason I cannot fathom, my surface intervals are not updating?

Can you explain this a bit more? You mean they are not downloaded from the dive computer? What do you mean by not updating? There is a button behind the field which will calculate them.

They have stopped updating from one dive to the next. I'm assuming the program calculates the interval between the start of last dive and the end of the previous dive? Well, it's no longer doing this.

Hi,
I have the same issue. Think the problem after the last update.
Pressing the calculate button does not work either.

I've changed it so it doesn't calculate a surface interval when there are more than 48 hours between dives. It will be only caluculated when there are less than 48 hours.

Can you change it back?

It was feedback from another user. The problem is that this function is also used by the downloader. And it calculated a surface interval even when two dives had a surface interval of one year. So it makes sense to apply a threshold where it should not be calculated.

After 48 hours you are fully desaturated and the dive does not count as repetitive dive and it does not make sense to calculate a surface interval. But I'm open to feedback and if more users want to back, I can certainly do this or adjust the 48 hour threshold.

Hello Sven, there's a field for surface interval and also a field for desaturation time. Wouldn't it be best to restore the old calculation option and let the users decide what they want to use?

Hi Sven,

I agree with blubberer and think the old way worked great. Let the user decide himself how to make use of the surface interval field.

Thanks for a great program and phone App.

Kind regards,
Klaus
