I have dive logs from Suunto DM3 and DM4 that are backed up as a .bak file.
Is there any way to restore and import them into Diving Log 5.0?
Thanks!
Import BAK files?
Re: Import BAK files?
Hi
Are you sure these files are from Suunto Dive Manager? Diving Log creates automatic backup files with this extension. Anyways, you can try to rename the extension of the SDM 3 bak files to .mdb and the SDM 4 files to *.db and try to import them with the Suunto import functions. If that does not work, try to rename to *.zip to see if these are actually zip files.
Kind regards,
Sven

Re: Import BAK files?
Yes, I'm sure it is the back up file created by SDM4. SDM allows their logbook to be backed up to a .bak file but it doesn't offer a way to restore the back up. That's one of the many reasons I'm trying Diving Log!
Re: Import BAK files?
All dives imported from SDM 4 but the locations didn't come over.divinglog wrote:Hi

As far as I know there is no location information in the SDM 4 logbook.
