BT Download to Perdix

This was working for quite a while but now does not connect. I'm using Perdix AI v81, Diving Log 6.0.19, Windows 10 20H2. After turning on BT on the Win and Perdix sides, Windows reports paired, Perdix is Waiting PC. Firing up Diving Log, selecting Downloader, Shearwater, Perdix AI - I get the Windows spinner, never a connection. The Perdix times out. After trying many combinations of this action...

Does anyone have any suggestions how to get this working again?

Please try to download this zip file and copy the content into the Diving Log 6.0 program folder. Then try again and let me know if it works.

Closer -- I got a DC_STATUS_IO error this time. FYI, after pressing select the next dialog "Paired Bluetooth LE Devices" does show the Perdix is paired.

Please try a few more times. Also unpairing and re-pairing, restarting Windows etc. helps. Normally it starts working at some point. Sometimes uninstalling Shearwater Desktop helps fixing the problem. Not sure why it is so problematic with Shearwater computers, but Subsurface is also struggling with the same issues.

OK will give your suggestions a try. In the latest Shearwater update, v81, the release notes say:

- Adds features that were first released with Peregrine v78
- Fixed issue that would not allow @+5, delta+5, or CEIL to be configured in bottom row
- Fixed issue that prevented Bluetooth connection to some third-party log software
- New! Peripheral serial numbers now show when viewing details of a device in the Bus Devices list

Maybe their fix broke a few things downstream...

I followed the thread you suggested. Tried Nerd and Nerd 2; Uninstalled Shearwater Desktop and Cloud versions; lots of re-booting, re-pairing... none of this has worked.

Question, you had sent a link to copy-over my existing install. Today while trying things, Diving Log reported a new update is available. Which version should I be using 6.0.19 (Update 1) OR the linked download?

Please use 6.0.19 (Update 1) from the updater, this is the latest version which some users reported seem to work better with Shearwaters.

Please activate "Log Errors" in the downloader settings and post the error log so we can see where it hangs.

Thank you. Do you click the "Download" button or the "Select" button and select the device manually? Please try both to see if it makes a difference. Clicking the download button will automatically select the device. Make sure to enable "Bluetooth" on the Shearwater, wait a few seconds, then click the "Download" button.

Try also to unpair the Shearwater, activate bluetooth on the device, then click on "Select" and check "Search unpaired devices" and select it that way.

Had the same issue. What worked for me was to disable bluetooth on the PC, enable bluetooth again, start bluetooth on the Perdix, pair the device, start Diving Log and then run the download (no select before).

But it is extremely slow, several minutes to download two dives. Same is true for the Shearwater Cloud Desktop. Both need around 3 to 4 minutes to download one dive.

I don't think this is releated to the 6.0.20 update, but if you want you can downgrade with this setup back to 6.0.19 to see if it makes a difference:

You are right. Downgrade to 6.0.19 does not work either.
